Kipp & Zonen is launching a new solar radiation measurement solution at Intersolar Europe 2016. The ‘RaZON+’ is said to be an all-in-one system that accurately measures both direct normal irradiance (DNI) and diffuse horizontal irradiance (DHI) from the sun and sky, enabling it to provide very reliable values of global horizontal solar irradiance (GHI) and sunshine duration.

INDEOtec’s Octopus II PECVD system has proven capabilities in the formation of heterojunction solar cells that enables top and bottom side thin film substrate deposition without the need of substrate flipping and vacuum breakage. The proprietary reactor design and a unique electrode arrangement allow low plasma ignition levels and low ion bombardments, which result in superior film thickness uniformity and excellent passivation levels.

This device is the first of its kind to allow laboratory standard solar module power measurements to be taken in the field without the need to dismantle modules.

SMA Solar Technology has launched the world’s first medium-voltage station in a 10-foot container for Sunny Tripower inverters, the MVS-STP, thereby expanding its portfolio serving decentralized photovoltaic power plants. The turnkey MVS-STP solution, specifically designed for string inverters, considerably simplifies setup of photovoltaic power plants with a decentralized system layout. In addition to quicker transport, the MV station makes cost savings possible thanks to shortened installation and commissioning times.

Hanwha Q CELLS is launching a 72 cell solar module, the ‘Q.PLUS L-G4.2,’ which is specifically optimized for large scale deployment with power classes of up to 340 watts and is UL and IEC 1500V certified. The utility-scale module incorporates Hanwha Q CELLS' proprietary Q.ANTUM technology based on the rear side passivation of solar cells and utilizes additional features to optimize the efficiency and performance of the PV cells to reduce the LCOE (Levelized Cost of Electricity) for the US market.
