JA Solar has announced that it is to supply its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules to a groundbreaking 440 MW PV project in Bayannur, Inner Mongolia. Developed by China Huaneng, the project will integrate wind power and solar PV to reduce desert expansion and transform barren landscapes into thriving ecosystems while generating clean, sustainable energy.

The project will deploy a total capacity of 485 MW of DeepBlue modules. Designed specifically to withstand extreme heat and harsh desert conditions, the modules have been rigorously tested to meet IEC standards and exceed performance benchmarks. With a vertically integrated production chain that leverages lean manufacturing and digitalized production facilities, JA Solar ensures that every module made can withstand extreme conditions while delivering optimal energy performance.

Reflecting on the company’s commitment, Executive President Aiqing Yang commented: “We are delighted to drive this transformative project, demonstrating JA Solar’s commitment to environmental protection, desert rehabilitation and continuous innovation. Our DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules, engineered to excel in extreme conditions, testify to our mission to turn barren deserts into vibrant, green landscapes. This project encapsulates our vision of leading the renewable energy revolution and fostering sustainable development worldwide.”
