JinkoSolar has announced that it is to supply 550MW of its N-type Tiger Neo modules to China’s State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), the country’s largest power producer and solar energy developer, further evidence of the industry’s rapidly accelerating transition towards N-type technology.
The high efficiency and enhanced performance of Tiger Neo enables developers to offer stable, competitive pricing to potential partners as demand for solar energy grows. Given the current challenges presented by energy market and supply chain volatility, an increasing number of developers are looking for guaranteed stability around the next generation N-type solution, in order to be able to provide a firm low power price and optimize their return on investment.
“We are delighted that China’s largest power developer, SPIC, has placed its trust in JinkoSolar and its N-type technology,” commented VP Dany Qian. “The proven enhancement in performance of our Tiger Neo modules in real-world conditions and the price volatility in materials appear to be driving solar developers to accelerate the move towards the more advanced N-type modules, to lock in ever-larger quantities ahead of growing demand.”
