
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for selection (RfP) for a 70MW solar project in Assam, an Indian state that has seen little large-scale PV action to date.
The capacity will be tendered on behalf Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APCGL) and will be located at the Amguri Solar Park, Sivasagar District on a Build Own Operate (BOO) basis.

SECI will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the successful bidder with a maximum tariff INR3.43/kWh (US$0.054).
Last month, The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) also tendered for 100MW (4x25MW) of grid-connected PV projects.
