NTPC tenders for 22MW floating solar project in Kerala

Indian state-run utility NTPC has invited bids for a 22MW grid-connected floating solar project to be set up at Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Plant (RGCCPP) at Kayamkulam in Kerala.

The tender is for design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will also provide O&M services for a three-year period.

The deadline for bid submissions is 21 August this year. Last month, NTPC also issued a 15MW EPC tender for solar at the same location.

India is known to have multi-gigawatts of floating solar potential across ponds and reservoirs located at its thermal power plants. PV Tech also covered a 500kW pilot floating project in Kerala in detail last year.
