“We are very pleased to sign this deal with Alma-D in Bulgaria – an important and growing solar energy market,” said Luc Graré, senior vice president of sales and marketing, cells and modules for REC. “The company’s involvement in various energy projects creates new and increased opportunities for REC in Bulgaria as well as in other emerging markets.”

Further, REC signed three contacts with Elektro-Solar Systems for a 2MW project called Kosharevo, a 3MW project called Voinikovo, and a 5MW project called Pop Gruevo. This project will be equipped with REC 235W peak energy modules while the other two will have REC 240W peak energy modules installed. Elektro-Solar will function as EPC contractor for those three PV plants and the projects are expected to commence construction in the second quarter of 2012.
