PVT Solar changes name to EchoFirst

PVT Solar has officially changed its name to EchoFirst. EchoFirst, who created Echo, a new solar energy system that delivers twice the energy of a basic solar electric PV system sates the name change more accurately reflects the company's core business: the design, manufacture, marketing, distribution and deployment of its patented Echo solar system.

The company also announced the appointment of Surinder Brar, the chief strategist of the worldwide partner organization at Cisco Systems, to the company's advisory board. For more than a decade Brar has been a senior executive at Cisco.

Surinder Brar holds an MBA in marketing from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Tech in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He also attended the executive leadership program at Stanford University.
