Solar cell manufacturer REC has launched the REC solar professional certification program. As part of the program, registered PV installers receive benefits like two years of extended warranties if they comply with the program’s standards.

More than 100 installers have registered as REC solar professionals up to now. The program has been developed by REC in collaboration with installers to guarantee benefits for those who deliver value work. Installers will have access to additional training to deepen their knowledge of PV systems and to improve their service; they also have access to an online portal offering information, marketing materials and data. Installers who comply with the program’s standard can reap a range of benefits such as a 12-year warranty to all clients who purchase REC modules as opposed to the regular 10-year warranty as well as compensation for service fees for claims.
