Developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Australia has acquired a 190MW hybrid solar PV and energy storage project in Victoria from Acen Australia.
Under the terms of the agreement, the PV plant will provide renewable energy at a volume to achieve 100% renewable energy for NCIG’s Kooragang Island facility from 2030 onwards.
Under this new domestic content requirement, solar PV cells based on crystalline-silicon technology would be considered to be domestically manufactured only if they used undiffused silicon wafers.
