Germany’s latest public auction for ground-mounted solar PV capacity ended “significantly oversubscribed”, according to the German electricity regulator, the Bundesnetzagentur.
India’s state-owned company the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has issued a tender seeking up to 2.4GW of solar PV capacity across India.
119 bids were successfully awarded contracts, for a total of 258.5MW capacity. Successful bids ranged between €0.0795/kWh and €0.1019/kWh, with a volume-weighted average price of €0.0894/kWh.
The first two solar PV projects from the sixth round of South Africa’s state renewable energy tender – representing 360MW capacity - have been approved and reached commercial close.
Indian power company JSW Energy Limited has been awarded the contract for a 700MW solar PV project through its wholly-owned subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy.
