After disappointing beginnings, India's rooftop solar market is now thriving with 75% year-on-year growth. PV Tech caught up with Ron Shen, vice president, international sales and service centre at China-based PV inverter supplier GoodWe, to discuss knock-on effects of safeguard duties on modules, price pressure and market growth.
A trio of solar manufacturers have expressed strong confidence in the UK solar and storage markets as the country begins to realise post-subsidy opportunities.
GoodWe is rolling out its new compact 20 kW SDT series inverter for three-phase households with high capacity density, which includes two MPP trackers and a wide input voltage range to ensure design flexibility and compatibility with high-output PV panels.
Inverter manufacturer GoodWe has launched a trio of new products on the show floor at Intersolar Europe in Munich, particularly taking aim at the bifacial module market.
Following last year’s announced cooperation with Tigo, PV inverter manufacturer GoodWe is now launching the DNS and SDT rapid shutdown inverter series with MLPE functionalities, a streamlined solution for the optimization of energy yields on the module level which is perfectly adequate for complex system designs and partial shadings – using optimizers on shaded modules recovers an average of 36% energy loss due to mismatch.
GoodWe is rolling out the new DNS series inverters which are ideal for solar power generation in residential homes. With a low start-up voltage of only 120V and the widest voltage range of 80-550V, these inverters can provide high performance and greater options for any household system, while maintaining a sleek, child-friendly design without sharp edges and safer to manipulate.
GoodWe has recently launched its new SBP series, which is claimed to be the world’s first AC-coupled retrofit solution with UPS function which allows energy storage and uninterruptible power supply to both single phase and three phase inverter systems.
