Land prices and other factors will slow but not stop the transition of PV market that has learned to adapt to densely populated reality, says Holland Solar board member.
Dutch renewable energy developer GroenLeven is set to develop the largest floating PV project in Europe, a 48MW installation that will be installed at an area in the Netherlands owned by Kremer Zand and Grind that is used as a sand extraction site.
Solar EPC contractor Biosar Energy has installed 27MW of Suntech’s PV modules at the Moerdijk Solar Park, one of the largest PV projects ever developed within the Netherlands. In total, 76,000 of Suntech’s high efficiency, monocrystalline, half-cell solar modules were delivered at the site.
Germany-based EPC firm, PFALZSOLAR is building a 34MWp project for non-commercial waste management firm HVC Group in the Dutch province of Flevoland, its largest project to date in the country.
The European Union solar market grew by 36% in 2018 and very strong demand for PV in Europe is expected in the next two years, said trade group SolarPower Europe.
Renewable energy firm Unisun Energy has completed and grid connected the 11.75MW Zonnepark Rilland project in The Netherlands, which has deployed Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology’s N-type TOPCon bifacial modules.
