New York plans to incentivise commercial and industrial (C&I) solar-plus-storage projects, kicking off by making US$40 million funding available to support 50MW of storage paired with solar from early November.
Billed as the ‘Largest Single Commitment to Renewable Energy by a State in U.S. History’ the State of New York announced a US$1.4 billion investment package and over US$3 Billion in direct investment in solar, wind and hydro energy projects, expected to generate around 3,000 jobs.
New solar array at Brooklyn Navy Yard is one of the largest in the city, and jump-starts New York's mission to hit new targets of 1,000MW of solar capacity by 2030.
